Tip: This works well with the Call of Creation document prepared by the Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales. It links issues of sustainability and climate change to Scripture and Catholic Social Teaching, from the Going Further section of this website.

A Short Prayer Session (Word file 336K)

If you need a short prayer slot for the end of your session, get a candle and print this off: it’s all about sharing and being the body of Christ – he has no hands but ours.

Light and Dark: A Prayer Session  (Word file 345K)

For something a bit longer try this. It’s based on the idea that we are all called to be light for the world. Combines prayers, readings and reflections.

Morning Prayer (Word file 626K)

Start your day with a prayer for justice. It’s on a theme of ‘Community’ and gets young people to work in groups to discuss some extracts. Pair it with a prayer or two from the Prayers of sustainability word file.

Evening Prayer (Word file 950K)

Finish your day with a prayer. Based on Psalm 72 and with its own intercessions. Mix and match some prayers from Prayers of sustainability if you want.
